On May 11, 2010, Ron Brooks, President of the National Narcotic Officers’ Associations’ Coalition (NNOAC), expresses support for the newly released 2010 National Drug Control Strategy on behalf of the more than 60,000 law enforcement officers represented by the organization. Ron Brooks discusses how the 2010 National Drug Control Strategy represents a balanced approach to addressing the enduring challenges of substance abuse and addiction.

Initial Brief Report on Pseudoephedrine Sales in the City of Washington, Missouri

According to a report issued by the Franklin County, Missouri, Narcotics Enforcement Unit, a significant amount of pseudoephedrine sales prior to the adaptation of the City of Washington PSE ordinance on July 7, 2009, were being diverted to make methamphetamine.  This presents data indicating that the new ordinance has been successful in reducing the amount of PSE being diverted to make methamphetamine.
